Note: The red arrow hand is for setting the alarm. A.
Gently pull the upper crown out. Turn it backwards (towards yourself) until the arrow points to your selected time, then
To set the Time: B. Twist the the crown backward (towards yourself), moving the hands forward until you arrive at the correct time. Push the lower crown back in. The time is now set. (If it is your first time wearing the watch or if you haven't worn it for an extended period of time, we suggest that you wind the lower crown upwards [away from yourself] about 10 times to make sure the crown is fully wound). |
| TIP - Setting The Alarm for Maximum Duration:
AFTER you've set the alarm to the desired time, push the crown back in. Then, continue to wind the crown upwards gently [away from yourself] until it can no longer be wound. Once you reach that point, do NOT wind further. Instead, wind the upper crown backwards (towards yourself] two revolutions. You do this so that the mechanism is not FULLY WOUND - which is not suggested for the watch. Later, when the alarm sounds, it will sound for the maximum length of time possible.
IMPORTANT:
-- Adjust the alarm and time before winding either the upper or lower crown.
ADDITIONAL TIPS: 1. As we all know, mechanical watches do not have batteries inside.
2. Allow yourself an adequate amount of time to familiarize yourself with the watch. Some mechanical watches require that you wind up the lower stem before putting on the watch - especially if you take it off at night. |
